Transition to Family Connect and Support


For individuals looking to access Family Referral Service

Family Referral Service will still be available to link you and/or your families to a range of local support services. You will be able to contact your local Family Referral Service provider through their usual contact details until 31 December 2020.

From 1 January 2021, please refer to the Family Connect and Support website for updated information on how you can access local Family Connect and Support providers.


For organisations that refer to Family Referral Service

You may continue to make referrals through your usual referral pathways until 31 December 2020. Your service provider will discuss with you what potential impacts the transition to Family Connect and Support may have on any referrals.

Information maintained by FRS providers

Following the end of the Family Referral Service, client records will be maintained by service providers in line with legal requirements, including privacy laws. If you have any questions regarding your information and records, please contact your local service provider


What to do after 1 January 2021

From 1 January 2021, you can access support services or make a referral to Family Connect and Support. Go to the Family Connect and Support website for more information.
